Aughrim GAA hosted 3 teams for a blitz in Aughrim on 9th May. The morning started off very wet and miserable. Despite this the team played three good games against Aughrim, Laragh and Dunlavin. To round off the day, the parents revived themselves with tea and sandwiches and the players were thrilled with the crisps and drinks on offer for them.   

On Sunday 10th May the players took part in the GAA 125 celebrations starting off the day with a practice match between them selves.  

Update: 7th May 2009 This weekend is lining up to be a busy weekend for the under 8's. They are on the road to Aughrim on Saturday for their second blitz this year. The team is meeting at the field at 9:45 am. On Sunday 10th May Tinahely GAA have organised their La na gClub day to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the GAA. A day full of activities and challenge matches is lined up. The Juvenile boys and girls get the ball rolling at 12pm. This promises to be a geat day, full of enjoyment and activities and we would encourage people to come along and support this historic event. All parents be warned- We may have some very tired U-8s after this weekend.
