Welcome to the Tinahely U-12 Page for 2010.
Training for the U-12 panel started on the 12th of March last and the U-12s have been training regularly ever since. The U-12 coaches for 2010 are Brendan Furlong, Rory Stokes, Declan Caulfield and Willie Furlong. We were grouped in division 1B of the U-12 league with Arklow Geraldines/Ballymoney, Blessington, Carnew, Rathnew and St. Nicholas as a result of being able to field 15 a side in games. This criteria for grading teams was not be in our best interest as we have a very young panel with a number of U-10 players playing with us this year.
We have completed our league fixtures and put up spirited performances against the other teams in the group despite not winning any games. A home victory against Rathnew didn't count in this league as Rathnew subsequently withdrew from division 1B and participated in a lower division. At the moment we don't know what championship we will be participating in. At the beginning of the year we were told that teams would be graded in the championship based on their league performances. This hasn't been the case with us however as some of the championships were started before we had completed our league programme.
