A good display of football from the ladies team on home soil.  The Ladies had a good game and with 10 ladies getting on the score board they had every reason to be happy with their display of football.  Unfortunately Arklow never really got going on this occasion, however, Tinahely are not under estimating this team as they have drawn them in the first round of the Championship this year.  Tinahely never allowed Arklow get into the game by never letting their foot off the gas and the sheer determination of the back line not to allow Arklow register a score was a major factor in the victory.  With Loretta Gilbert and Laura Hogan scoring 6.3 between them along with Lucy Mulhall, Lorraine Dunne, Sinead Dixon, Bridget Kenny, Caoimhe Bowes, Aine Byrne, Jackie Kinch and even our very own full back Deirdre Healy notching up scores on the board.  A good performace all round from the ladies and hopefully they can do well once again against this Arklow side in the Championship.
