" the response to the comment that was given, was after the anonymous poster posted a message giving out about the seniors using 2 junior players! this post was posted after the st pats game not the kiltegan game, surely they wer hardly been "wasted" at this stage of the championship because the championship was very much still alive. ok fair enough using players like that at the end of the kiltegan game may have been a call that alot of people wouldnt have agreed with. but the original agrument was over a poster (maybe you) saying the senior team wasted 2 junior players against st pats! just as an aside, the juniors were already out of the chamionship by the time the players were used against kiltegan so how could it have been left to the juniors to "revive the club for the year"???

The only 2 good things that came out of this place is "The Dying Cow" public house !!!!!!! and that Byrne girl living up in Dublin . Keep up the training and hard work lads , some day ye might run out on the same pitch as those Kingdom boys

is it true that the senior team is playing friday night without one of its better players because of some petty disagreement ? please tell me this isnt true after all we are playing carnew and if wer lose we are as good as out. was only told of this today in a shop in the town and it happened a month ago. somebody please update me. best of luck friday lads .

in responce to the comment on wasting junior players, i totally agree the the second comment about everybody should want to play for their senior team, we can regrade 3 of the players and the rest of the lads will have yo knuckle down and be part of a stronger senior panel next year, and not use playing junior as a scape goat for getting out of training or settling for second best. The junior team played senior players for most of their league games this year, winning games by 10 and 15 points, and when it came to championship the juniors had to do without these lads, and played players who were sitting on the bench during league games. People in this club have to look at the bigger picture and what is better for the club as a whole.

In response to that, of course the senior team comes first, thats obvious and its should never be any other way. The senior team is the focal point of any club and every single club in Ireland runs to that believe. This carry on of saving players just to play junior is not on, no serious club with any ambition in the country would use this practice and Tinahely shouldn't either. If players only wanted to play junior football then they would not tog out for the senior team. It should be the goal of all players within a club to play a part, be that big or small, for the senior team. The second and third teams etc in any club serve the purposes of giving football to players who are maybe not quiet up to senior but still want to play, giving players who may no longer be able to committ to the senior team through various reasons e.g. age a chance to continue playing for the club and most importantly its gives young lads 16,17,18 a chance to play adult football and prepare them hopefully for development into senior players for the club. Your sarcastic tone of "well done for wasting players" is completely the wrong attitude to have. Maybe you'd prefer to see the club win a junior b than a senior?

once again it doesnt surprise me to see or shud i say not to see any recollection of the u12 team in 1992 not even mentioned anywere in here... you told me b4 you didnt have history bout it yet you have history dated back from 1972 upwards at every underage level.... and just to refresh everyones momory it was the first county title back in tinahely since the 1984 wining team..... go on the team of 92 you no who you all are.............

i do hope that the club back

i do hope that the club back the SENIOR management in the dropping the six players for breaking drink ban.we have seen it before that the club has been WEAK and has bowed to out side pressure and its about time that we get a BACKBONE for the good of OUR CLUB. we have a very good trainer and about 30 players in the field putting in a good effort and with DISIPLINE we can make progress in the senior championship over the next year or two. TINAHELY have got a lot of good young footballers and with a strong committee behind them and the belief effort and disipline we will not be waiting too long for a SENIOR championship back in town. PLAYERS have to look at themselves as individuals and ask the questions.
