TINAHELY HANDBALL ALLEY FUNDRAISER

 On Friday 4th December there will be an evening of entertainment in Murphy's with DJ, door prizes and lots more and tickets are only €5.  Your support in an effort to raise funds for the continued upkeep of the Tinahely Handball alley is very much appreciated.  Alot of work has been done to get the doors open once again and it is a fantastic amenity to the town but more work needs to be done.  Tickets can be got from Robert Cleary, Joe Cleary, Darren Dunne or Anthony Murphy.  Please show your support and purchase a ticket.

TABLE QUIZ

Tinahely G.A.A will be holding a table quiz on Thursday 19th November at 9.30pm in Black Toms.  All support is welcomed as the club is trying hard to raise much needed funds for the repayments of the clubhouse and the continued upkeep of the clubhouse and grounds.  We hope to see you there to give your support and there will be spot prizes on the night also.

AUCTION

On Sunday 1st November @ 2pm Tinahely GAA are holding an auction in the Community Hall.  We hope for as much support as possible and there will be fantastic goods to purchase on this day.  If you want to contribute in any way please contact Anthony Murphy or David Blake.  So why not take a browse down and see if something catches your eye on Sunday the 1st Nov.  Look forward to seeing you all.

LADIES JUVENILE TABLE QUIZ

The Juvenile girls will be holding a table quiz in Murphy's Lounge on Friday 23rd of October.  Table of 4 €20.  It promises to be a bit of fun so why not kick start your long weekend with coming to support the quiz and get on a table and test your knowledge.  All support is greatly appreciated and we look forward to seeing you there.

CHAMPIONSHIP DRAW

Congratulations to the Senior lads who defeated Hollywood to go through to the quarter finals of the Jim Coogan Senior Football Championship.  With one defeat to St Pats and a draw with neighbours Carnew it was a must win for the lads to go through to the next round and thats exactly what they did in great style with a great performance by each player in the second half when it was truly needed.  Tinahely now meet last years county champions Kiltegan in the quater finals on Sunday 13th September in Aughrim at 4.30pm.  Lets see you all there the lads need your support.

LADIES GAA JUNIOR A FINAL 

The Junior A final will now take place in Aughrim County Grounds at 6pm on 13th September after the Senior Football Championship games.  We would appreciate your support for our team.  This would be another great victory for the the Ladies to beat Baltinglass in the final.  Look forward to your support!

Ellen Kinch Cup

The Ellen Kinch Memorial Cup tourament was held in Tinahely on Sunday 6th September.  Thanks to the Ladies from Arklow and Coolkenno who competed with Tinahely for the Cup.  Each team played each other in 20 min games and it was Arklow and Tinahely who competed in the final for the Cup.  Tinahely held onto the Cup again for another year and we hope that next year we can do the same again.  Tea and sandwiches were available to all afterwards in the community hall and thanks to all those who helped out in orgainising and preparing the food.  We hope to keep this tournament alive the forthcoming years as it means a lot to our club.

Tinahely GAA club send best wishes to the Wicklow Minor Girls who play there Leinster Final against Offaly, Sunday 17th May, in Dr Cullen Park and especially to our very own players Jackie Kinch, Lucy Mulhall and Sarah Hogan. We wish the girls the very best of luck!  

WICKLOW GAA MAGAZINE

A new Wicklow GAA Magazine is available now which gives an account of Senior, Juv and Ladies GAA across Wicklow.  It can be purchased for €3 in Centra Tinahely.  It is a monthly edition and is worth the purchase!!
